Speculation has been mounting for weeks suggesting that Manuel Pellegrini is going to be replaced by Pep Guardiola at the end of the current season. Indeed, the Bayern Munich boss – often seen as the best manager in the game – has spoken of his desire to manage in the Premier League.
With Manchester City having an exciting project, and influential men Txisi Begiristain (a former Barcelona player and director), as the current director of football at Manchester City, the reasons are wholly justified.

André Villas-Boas has also stated his desire to leave his club, Zenit, at the end of the season and according to respected journalist Artur Petrosyan, the Russians will be looking to replace the former Tottenham and Chelsea boss with Pellegrini

Nothing is signed and sealed at the moment but if Guardiola does join City, Pellegrini moving to Zenit is a very realistic possibility.
