It’s that time again. The Christmas and New Year festivities have died down for another year and football fans can look forward to FA Cup 3rd round weekend. Arguably the most storied competition in world football, the FA Cup provides opportunity for fixtures that wouldn’t ordinarily occur. It is often the stage for some of English Football’s greatest shocks and never short of twists and turns.
This year’s third round draw hasn’t thrown up anything unusual from a City point of view, as the Blues face the prospect of a trip to fellow Premier League side Norwich City. It is sure to be a testing match and one that Pellegrini will still take seriously, but there is an excellent opportunity to catch an extended viewing of the hotbed of academy prospects thriving at the CFA. Here is a list of five I would like to see start or, at least, appear at some stage on Saturday.
