Stoke City away. A fixture that hasn’t been especially fruitful for Manchester City in recent years. Aside from last seasons 4-1 thumping, the Britannia Stadium is a ground in which City have left victorious just once since 1999 – a 1-0 win in the F.A. Cup 4th round three seasons ago.
It proved no less challenging for the blues this time around. A listless performance, lacking a significant amount of fight and desire led to a 2-0 reverse against a vastly superior Stoke outfit.
In this piece, I will attempt to tackle the considerable amount of problems facing Manuel Pellegrini and City at present. There are several issues of concern for the manager and his coaching staff and using some tweets sent out during the game, I will identify what I believe the key problems to be and why.
