Manchester City are poised to revise their loan agreement with sibling club New York City and send veteran defender Martin Demichelis on loan to the MLS side, according to Kristan Heneage.
The 34-year-old has featured just three times for Manuel Pellegrini side this season, with two coming during the club’s recent injury crisis. All three of the matches that the Argentine has appeared in this season has seen him on the losing side.
In a surprising rumour, the former Malaga defender has been linked with a temporary move to the MLS. The club has utilised their partnership with the newly-founded club to send youngsters out to North America in order to gain the experience needed to compete at the highest level but, instead, it appears that they may be willing to offer the services of players with more wisdom and knowledge of the game.
Should the rumours be true, it is presumed that the two-time Premier League champions look to recruit another central defender or offer the chance for one of the younger players to prove their worth to the fans and the Chilean boss.
