Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis is reportedly considering a January return to his homeland of Argentina with Rosario Central.
Demichelis has made just one Premier League start for City this season after being forced down defensive pecking order as a result of Nicolas Otamendi’s summer arrival from Valencia and Elequim Mangala’s improved run of form.

The Argentine now finds himself as Manuel Pellegrini’s fourth-choice centre-back and, with just six months remaining on his contract the 34-year-old’s days at the Etihad Stadium look to be numbered.
ESPN FC claims that Demicheles’ former River Plate teammate and current Rosario coach Eduardo Coudet wants to sign the Argentine defender this January, ahead of the prestigious Copa Libertadores tournament starting in February.
Demichelis has made 55 starts for City since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2013 – and a return to Argentina would end the seasoned defender’s illustrious 12-year stay in European football.
