Manchester City forward Kevin De Bruyne is eagerly anticipating the return of his “amazing” teammate David Silva.
Silva has been out of action since early October, after suffering an ankle injury in Spain’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Luxemborg. However, Manuel Pellegrini is quietly confident that the Spanish magician will be available to play some part in City’s upcoming clash with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on November 21.
De Bruyne has been in magnificent form since joining City from Wolfsburg for a club record £54m fee in August, bagging six goals and six assists in his first 11 starts for the sky blues.
The ex-Chelsea man recently scooped his second successive Etihad Player of the Month award and the in-form Belgian can’t wait to link up with the returning ‘El Mago’ following the international break.

Speaking to City’s official club website, De Bruyne said:
On the ball he (Silva) is amazing. He can do everything and dictate the tempo of a game from start to finish, so he’s a great player to have when you want to control the game – I’d say that’s one of his best traits. He has great vision, can find anyone with a pass and it is great to have him as a team-mate. Obviously we are all looking forward to his, Sergio and Samir’s return as soon as possible.
Silva’s injury means that the Spaniard has lined up alongside De Bruyne just twice since the Belgian moved to the Etihad Stadium this summer and Citizens will be salivating at the thought of the gifted duo spearheading City’s attack heading into winter.
