Manchester City are reportedly amongst a host of clubs interested in the signature of Chelsea attacking midfielder Charly Musonda.
The 19-year-old Belgian has seen his opportunities at the west London club limited, having never made an appearance for the Blues at senior level but is highly rated amongst the youth sides at the club. According to Le Ten Sport, the former Anderlecht man will look to leave the club in order to find first-team football.
Musonda’s father revealed that his son must leave Jose Mourinho’s side in search of regular senior level game time if he is to develop both mentally and physically as a footballer.

He must absolutely leave Chelsea and, since January, Monaco have been trying to sign him. Monaco are not alone but they truly want him. He’s not had a specific discussion with Jose Mourinho yet but he’s trained regularly with the first team. He often watches his friend Eden Hazard. He plays an important role for Charly with his advice. My son does not want to copy his style but develop his own.Chelsea don’t want him [to go back to Belgium]. They want Charly to play in a good team in a big league. He must play for a first team. He progresses every day but he must develop further.Technically, he’s always been good but he still has much work to do on a physical and mental level. He’s paying attention to this aspect of football.

Having signed a new contract with the club earlier this year, it is likely that Musonda will cost a hefty fee.
Other clubs also said to be interested are Premier League rivals Arsenal, French giants PSG, Monaco, Marseille and Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
