Wilfried Bony has been speaking to Manchester City’s official website about what he describes as the worst spell of his career.
The Ivorian striker has just two goals from his 19 appearances for City and has also suffered numerous injuries during his time at the club – a less than ideal scenario.
His fortunes may be about to change, however, as Sergio Aguero is again injured, which may well open the door for Bony to find the form that prompted City to buy him.

To the Man City website, Wilfried said:
It’s been the worst spell of my career without question. In the past five years I’d never missed more than two games in a row and at Swansea I only missed a handful of matches and that was mostly because of a red card I received.
Despite missing extra games for City compared to Swansea, Bony is hopeful he’s now through his troubles and seems upbeat.
I’ve had nothing but bad luck in the past year, but hopefully, that’s the end of it now. It’s not been the best time for me in that respect and has been very frustrating, but hopefully the City fans will now see the new Bony. All I need is the first goal to come and hopefully many others will follow.
Man City host newly promoted Bournemouth on Saturday. Bony will be hoping to put right his concerns and get himself on the scoresheet, with Manuel Pellegrini likely to start the 26-year-old at The Etihad.
