Manchester City suffered their second successive league defeat at White Hart Lane, with Spurs coming from a goal down to sink the Blues.
Kevin De Bruyne had put City ahead in the first half and all looked rosy as City controlled proceedings.
On the stroke of half-time however, Eric Dier netted the equaliser for the home side, though in the build-up, Kyle Walker was clearly offside.
Toby Alderweireld headed home the second before Kane and Lamela piled further misery on a City side without Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
