More links have emerged in the press that link Radamel Falcao with a move to Manchester City, along with a number of other Premier League clubs. Falcao has struggled at City’s rivals United since he signed for them in September, but that hasn’t put off other sides looking into signing the Colombian, if he doesn’t sign on a permanent deal at Old Trafford.
The on-loan United man was reportedly close to agreeing a City switch back in September before he joined The Red Devils, having supposedly rejected Real Madrid and Arsenal to join The Blues. However, United saw fit to make Radamel Falcao their final big-money signing of the transfer window in a bid to get back into the top four.
It’s being reported that City will look into signing the Colombia international if either one of Edin Dzeko or Stevan Jovetic, who’ve both recently been linked with transfers away, do leave in the summer. However, City are not likely to be the only team in for Falcao, with Arsenal and Liverpool also reportedly looking at the former Porto man. United also have the option to make their move permanent for £43 million.
The 28-year-old (who turns 29 next month) has scored 3 league goals in 12 appearances for Manchester United, but before that had scored 11 in 20 at Monaco, 52 in 68 at Atletico Madrid, and 41 in 51 at Porto.
