Spurs close in on extraordinary £135m Man City double deal

City could eventually receive as much as £135m from Tottenham for Savinho and Omar Marmoush, although the full figure depends upon add-ons and the final deals.

Tottenham have already agreed to pay an initial £75m for Savinho, with another £10m potentially due in bonuses.

Approximately £5m of those add-ons are understood to be considered readily achievable. The deal would make the Brazil international City’s record sale if it is completed as expected.

Marmoush could now follow Savinho to north London through a different arrangement.

Reports on Monday claimed Tottenham had reached a verbal agreement with City over an initial loan for the Egypt international.

The proposed deal would contain a conditional obligation to make the transfer permanent for £50m. Marmoush has already agreed personal terms and is reportedly due to undergo a medical.

City attack set for major reshuffle

The two agreements could eventually be worth £135m, but City are not guaranteed to receive that entire sum.

Savinho’s package includes performance-related bonuses, while the permanent element of Marmoush’s proposed move will depend upon specified conditions being met.

Neither transfer has yet been formally announced by the clubs.

The expected departures would represent a significant change to Enzo Maresca’s attacking options after just one Premier League game in charge.

City are working on a deal for Palmeiras winger Allan and have verbally agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old.

Savinho’s departure is considerably further advanced, while the fresh reports concerning Marmoush suggest Tottenham are now moving towards completing an extraordinary double raid on the Etihad Stadium.
