# Sheikh Mansour invests another £100m in Man City parent company amid appeal

**City owner Sheikh Mansour has invested a further £100m into the club’s parent company, City Football Group, while City’s regulatory battle with the Premier League continues.**

Companies House records show 11,327,163 new CFG shares were allotted on 14 October. The shares were bought by Newton Investment and Development, the company through which Mansour holds his majority stake in the group.

## Mansour increases City Football Group investment

[City AM](https://www.cityam.com/sheikh-mansour-doubles-down-on-manchester-city-with-100m-injection-despite-legal-row/) reports that the transaction has marginally increased Mansour’s holding to around 81%, with US investment firm Silver Lake owning most of the remainder. CFG described the £100m injection as equity from its largest shareholder, adding that the proceeds would be used for normal corporate purposes and planned investment across the group.

The share issue also provides a fresh indication of CFG’s value. At the price paid for the new shares, the transaction implies a valuation of approximately £ 5.9 billion for the organisation, whose network includes clubs across Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia.

For[City](https://readmancity.com/), the timing inevitably attracts attention. The club are appealing the verdict in their Premier League financial case and continue to dispute the findings against them, meaning the regulatory process remains unresolved.

The investment itself has no bearing on that appeal, but it does provide a tangible indication that Mansour continues to commit significant money to CFG during a period of uncertainty.

That follows [recent reports that City’s ownership is expected to remain committed](https://readmancity.com/2026/10/26/man-city-owners-abu-dhabi-premier-league-punishment/) despite the possibility of significant consequences from the case.

Rather than speculation about what Mansour might do next, the latest Companies House filing therefore offers something concrete: another £100m has gone into the wider City operation while one of the most important periods in the club’s recent history continues.
