# Erling Haaland and Ayyoub Bouaddi in running for Ballon d’Or awards

**[City](https://readmancity.com/) will have two members of their men’s squad in contention for individual honours at the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on Monday night.**

Erling Haaland is among the 30 nominees for the men’s Ballon d’Or, while summer signing Ayyoub Bouaddi has been shortlisted for the Men’s Young Talent of the Year award. The ceremony takes place at the London Palladium from 8pm.

## Haaland and Bouaddi represent Man City

Haaland’s latest nomination follows another prolific season for City, with the Norwegian scoring 52 goals and providing nine assists during the 2025/26 campaign. His 35 Premier League goals earned him a third Golden Boot in four seasons, while he also helped City win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

The 26-year-old continued that form at the World Cup, scoring seven times as Norway reached the quarter-finals. It is Haaland’s sixth Ballon d’Or nomination, with the City striker again included among some of the biggest names in European football.

Bouaddi’s recognition comes after an impressive year of his own. The 18-year-old midfielder joined City from Lille during the summer having already made 96 senior appearances for the French club, while he featured five times as Morocco reached the World Cup quarter-finals.

The pair will now discover where their performances place them when the awards are announced on Monday evening. City have further representation across the women’s categories, while Manchester City Women are also shortlisted for Women’s Club of the Year.
