# Maresca gives five-player Man City injury update after Ipswich win

**Enzo Maresca has eased concerns over Erling Haaland but admitted** [**Man City**](https://readmancity.com/) **face a wait over Antoine Semenyo following Saturday’s 3-2 victory against Ipswich Town.**

City emerged with five fitness concerns from a demanding afternoon at the Etihad, with Haaland, Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes, Nico O’Reilly and Semenyo all requiring attention.

Haaland was seen limping after scoring twice, while Kovacic, Nunes and O’Reilly were withdrawn during the second half. Maresca, however, received reassuring news from three of them.

## Maresca gives Haaland and Semenyo update

“I asked all of them,” Maresca [said after the game](https://www.mancity.com/news/mens/maresca-ipswich-postmatch-written-presser-63927853). “Mateo said he was okay, Matheus said he was okay, Erling said he was also okay.”

O’Reilly continues to manage a back problem which had already affected his involvement against Coventry City.

“Nico, it’s still his back,” Maresca said. “If you remember against Coventry in the warm-up, it’s the same problem.”

The greater uncertainty surrounds Semenyo, who was introduced in the 77th minute but also appeared to be in discomfort late on.

“The only one we need to wait on was Antoine, and we will see,” Maresca added.

City have little time to assess their options before returning to Champions League action against AEK Athens at the Etihad on Tuesday.

The encouraging news over Haaland will be particularly welcome after his two goals helped City maintain their perfect Premier League start, but Semenyo’s fitness is now the one to watch ahead of the European fixture.
