# Oliver Holt makes fresh Man City claim as Sky and TNT questioned

**[City](https://readmancity.com/) have been accused of “poisoning the Premier League” by Oliver Holt as the Daily Mail columnist stepped up his criticism of the club.**

Holt has questioned how Sky Sports and TNT Sports can continue broadcasting City’s matches while the club’s appeal and sanctions process remains unresolved.

## Holt steps up criticism of Man City

He had already [called for Sky and other broadcasters to stop showing City matches live](https://readmancity.com/2026/10/12/oliver-holt-sky-stop-showing-man-city-games/?utm_source=chatgpt.com), describing their fixtures as “ghost games”, and he has now returned to the subject in his Daily Mail column, accusing City of “poisoning the Premier League” and questioning the position of the competition’s major broadcasters.

The issue has received further attention since City’s 3-0 win at Liverpool on Sunday. Gary Neville has also [asked Sky Sports to take him off City matches](https://readmancity.com/2026/10/13/gary-neville-sky-sports-man-city-games/) for the next few months while the case remains unresolved.

There is no indication that Sky or TNT Sports is considering removing City games from its schedules. City face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday, with the game being shown live by TNT Sports in the UK.

City have appealed against the independent commission’s findings, and no sanction has yet been imposed. The timetable and possible outcomes are [explained in our Man City appeal guide](https://readmancity.com/2026/10/12/man-city-appeal-verdict-date-punishment-explained/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
