# Man City player ratings v Liverpool: Doku makes the difference at Anfield

**[City](https://readmancity.com/) won 3-0 at Liverpool as second-half goals from Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki maintained their perfect Premier League start.**

**Gianluigi Donnarumma – 8**\
Important when Liverpool raised the tempo after half-time, saving from Lewis Koumas and Ryan Gravenberch before City took control.

**Matheus Nunes – 7**\
Rarely troubled at right-back and was willing to get forward when space opened up.

**Ruben Dias – 7**\
Kept City organised through Liverpool’s better spells and helped them finish with a clean sheet.

**Marc Guehi – 7**\
Dealt with Lewis Koumas well and gave Liverpool little through the centre.

**Nico O’Reilly – 6**\
Had a difficult spell against Victor Munoz and was booked before being replaced by Josko Gvardiol.

**Elliot Anderson – 8**\
Excellent in midfield. Saw plenty of the ball and set up Doku’s goal before playing a part in the move which ended with Cherki making it 3-0.

**Enzo Fernandez – 7**\
Helped City get a grip on midfield and used possession well before being given a rest late on.

**Antoine Semenyo – 7**\
A threat from the right and put Haaland through for the chance he sent wide shortly before Gravenberch’s red card.

**Rayan Cherki – 8**\
Not always prominent, but produced one of the best moments of the game for City’s third, combining with Gvardiol before finishing past Alisson.

**Iliman Ndiaye – 6**\
Unable to make much happen before Maresca replaced him with Doku after 57 minutes.

**Erling Haaland – 7**\
Put a one-on-one wide but made no mistake with his next chance, driving the opener past Alisson.

## Substitutes

**Jeremy Doku – 9**\
City’s decisive change. Drew Gravenberch’s second booking, was involved in Haaland’s opener and then curled in the second himself.

**Josko Gvardiol – 7**\
Came on for O’Reilly and supplied the return pass for Cherki’s goal.

**Ayyoub Bouaddi – 6**\
Replaced Fernandez for the final few minutes with the game won.

**Allan – 6**\
Given a late run in place of Haaland as City saw out the win.
