Man City players on international duty: Full schedule and fixtures

City’s international contingent are entering the final two days of the September and October break, with Erling Haaland and Rúben Dias among those to have now completed their programmes.

Haaland played 67 minutes as Norway lost 2-1 to Portugal on Sunday, with Dias completing the full game for the hosts. Ayyoub Bouaddi also played 90 minutes for Morocco, while Iliman Ndiaye scored Senegal’s winner against Comoros.

Marc Guéhi and Elliot Anderson had already helped England thrash Croatia 7-0 on Saturday, when City team-mates Joško Gvardiol and Mateo Kovačić were on the opposite side.

Several City players remain in action on Monday and Tuesday before Enzo Maresca’s squad reconvenes ahead of Sunday’s Premier League trip to Liverpool.

Haaland – Norway

Haaland has completed his international programme after starting all four of Norway’s Nations League matches.

The City striker scored twice in the opening 3-2 victory against Denmark before finding the net again in the 2-1 defeat against Portugal in Oslo. He also started the defeat against Wales before Norway travelled to Porto for Sunday’s return meeting with Portugal.

Haaland asked to be substituted in the 67th minute and appeared to be limping as he left the pitch, initially raising concerns ahead of City’s trip to Liverpool.

Norway manager Stale Solbakken subsequently explained that Haaland was tired rather than injured, with his withdrawal having been anticipated after discussions before the match.

Dias – Portugal

Dias has completed every minute of Portugal’s four Nations League matches during the international break.

The City defender played the full game against Wales before completing another 90 minutes in Portugal’s 2-1 victory over Haaland’s Norway in Oslo.

Dias then played throughout the 4-2 win against Denmark in Copenhagen and completed another full match as Portugal beat Norway 2-1 in Porto on Sunday.

Guéhi and Anderson – England

Guéhi and Anderson have both been heavily involved for England, while O’Reilly’s international break was cut short by injury.

Anderson and Guéhi started England’s opening defeat against Spain and were again involved as Thomas Tuchel’s side beat Czechia 2-0 in Prague.

Both retained their places against Croatia on Saturday. Guéhi completed the full 90 minutes of England’s remarkable 7-0 victory in Rijeka, while Anderson played 79 minutes and supplied the pass for Harry Kane’s second goal.

O’Reilly had started against Spain earlier in the window but subsequently withdrew from the England squad and returned to City for further assessment.

Semenyo and O’Reilly return early

Antoine Semenyo’s international break ended early after he withdrew from Ghana duty with a swollen leg.

The City forward therefore missed the remainder of Ghana’s programme, while O’Reilly also returned to Manchester after withdrawing from the England squad through injury.

For Maresca, attention will increasingly turn towards the condition and workload of his returning players. Dias has completed four full matches, while Haaland has played substantial minutes across Norway’s four fixtures.

Several others still have matches on Monday and Tuesday before City’s squad comes back together ahead of the Premier League trip to Liverpool on Sunday 11 October.
