# Haaland leads first Man City players into international action

**Erling Haaland is among the first [City](https://readmancity.com/) players in action during the international break, with Norway beginning their Nations League campaign against Denmark tonight.**

Ruben Dias could also feature as holders Portugal face Wales, while Abdukodir Khusanov and Uzbekistan have a friendly against Iran earlier in the day.

## Haaland begins Nations League campaign with Norway

Haaland and Norway get their League A campaign under way against Denmark in Oslo, with the game available to watch in the UK on Prime Video.

Haaland heads away with Norway after another strong start at City, where he’s helped Enzo Maresca’s side win their opening five Premier League games.

There won’t be much easing into the international break either. Denmark are first up before Norway host Portugal on Sunday, potentially putting Haaland up against City teammate Dias.

Portugal begin the defence of their Nations League title against Wales in Lisbon on Thursday.

Portugal won the competition in 2025, beating Spain on penalties in the final, and Dias has started the new season in excellent form for City.

Khusanov will actually be the first City player who could see action on Thursday, although Uzbekistan’s meeting with Iran is a friendly rather than part of the Nations League programme.

For Maresca, the hope will be that all three get through their international work without any problems before City regroup ahead of the Premier League trip to Liverpool on October 11.
