# Alan Sugar launches extraordinary Man City attack as 115 charges wait goes on

**Lord Alan Sugar has launched a remarkable attack on** [**City**](https://readmancity.com/) **over the still unresolved Premier League charges case, claiming the club have “got away with bloody murder”.**

The former Tottenham chairman was speaking on Football Uncensored when the conversation turned to the lengthy wait for a decision following the independent commission hearing.

“I am waiting to see what is going to happen with Man City,” said Sugar.

“The thing is Man City have got away with bloody murder.

“For about three years now there has been talk of them infringing these rules; they have most probably paid about half a billion to lawyers so far to frighten the Premier League.

“When are they going to get done or aren’t they going to get done?”

## Sugar goes in hard – but the verdict still hasn’t arrived

Sugar’s claim about City’s supposed legal bill is just that – his claim, a guess – while saying they have already “got away with” anything feels a little premature.

City deny the allegations and, crucially, the independent commission has yet to announce its decision. The hearing began in September 2024 and concluded in December of that year after 12 weeks. Nearly two years later, the wait goes on.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters acknowledged last month that the process had taken “longer than expected”, while insisting the commission must be allowed the time and space to do its job.

So Sugar is hardly alone in wondering why it has taken so long. The delay has become a story in itself. But nobody outside that process yet knows what the commission has decided. Sugar has certainly delivered his verdict. We’re still waiting for the one that counts.
