# First glimpse of Allan as new City signing gets straight to work

*[City](https://readmancity.com/) supporters have been given their first glimpse of Allan at work following the Brazilian’s move from Palmeiras.*

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal at the Etihad and has now taken part in his first training session with [Enzo Maresca](https://readmancity.com/2026/08/31/five-games-enzo-maresca-man-city-september/)‘s squad.

With Coventry visiting on Saturday, it may not be too long before supporters get to see City’s latest Brazilian in action.

## Allan gets down to work

Allan is a left-footed attacker who operates predominantly from the right and developed his game through futsal before making his name with Palmeiras.

City’s own assessment says he “loves to beat a man and cut inside to find a pass or go for goal himself”.

He has now had his first taste of life at the City Football Academy as Maresca’s squad prepares for the weekend.

Allan arrives following major changes to City’s attacking options this summer, with Savinho and [Omar Marmoush](https://readmancity.com/2026/08/21/omar-marmoush-tottenham-terms-man-city-transfer/) among those to leave and [Iliman Ndiaye](https://readeverton.com/iliman-ndiaye-everton-man-city-what-have-lost/) arriving from Everton on Deadline Day.

There is plenty of competition for places, of course.

Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki, Phil Foden, Antoine Semenyo, Jérémy Doku and Ndiaye are among Maresca’s attacking options, so quite where Allan fits initially remains to be seen.

But after weeks of transfer talk, medicals and negotiations, the interesting bit can finally begin.

Allan is a City player, and he’s out on the grass.

Now we get to find out what he can do.
