Sane leaves Germany squad because of personal reasons

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has left the German national squad due to personal reasons.

Bild journalist Christian Falk has confirmed that the German winger has left and is now expected to return to Manchester City.

Sane will miss Germany’s friendly against Peru, which takes place on Sunday.

Reasons behind his withdrawal are yet to be confirmed by either club or country.

The news is the latest blow for Sane, who has endured a torrid start to the new season.

Despite enjoying a fine Premier League season under Pep Guardiola last season, Sane was left out of the German World Cup squad to much controversy.

The young star has also been shunned to the sidelines by Guardiola at Manchester City this season, with the player looking a shadow of the man that dazzled the Premier League last time out.

After being recalled to the German set-up for the first international break of the season, Sane came off the bench in the final 10 minutes against France on Thursday night.
