Man City Predicted XI: Southampton (A)

Manchester City will be looking to get back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they take on Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s men go into the game on the back of a 3-1 home win against Hull City and will be desperate to get another three points in their battle for a top-four position.

City are four points clear of fifth-placed Manchester United, with United having a game in hand on the Citizens, which is ironically against Southampton at St Mary’s.

Southampton are currently involved in a battle with West Bromwich Albion for a top-eight position, and managed to get a crucial 1-0 win against the Baggies at the Hawthorns last time out.

Claude Puel has brought a more attacking style of football to that of former manager Ronald Koeman, which has seen them reach the EFL Cup final after a fantastic cup run. On their day, they can beat anyone and will be a big challenge for the Citizens on Saturday.

In the reverse fixture, both side played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium. Nathan Redmond gave Southampton the lead after latching on to a John Stones backpass. Kelechi Iheanacho equalised for City after he tapped in a low cross from Leroy Sane.

Here’s how we expect Pep Guardiola to set out his team for the game:
