With a disrupted pre-season now in the books, we have had a glimpse into the thoughts and plans of Pep Guardiola as he sets about his first season as Manchester City manager.
The summer months are a time for teaching and coaching, experimenting and implementing, much of which has been done. Refreshingly, part of those thoughts and plans are several burgeoning academy prospects, many of whom have impressed in the three public friendlies played.
As anticipated, Guardiola has incorporated many of the leading lights from the EDS with the first team since his arrival at the beginning of July and is widely expected to give youth a chance as the season progresses.
Based on what we have seen in the Guardiola era to date, we will take a look at those who have featured heavily and shone brightest in an attempt to see who may be involved in Pep’s re-moulded City squad.
