Four Findings: Manchester City vs Arsenal

Manchester City’s pre-season came to its climax on Sunday with a match against Arsenal in Gothenburg.

City’s pre-season has been one of excitement as the fans hoped to see Pep Guardiola’s philosophy slowly creeping into the side.

City took the lead in the first half after a perfect delivery from winger Raheem Sterling which found Sergio Aguero, who tapped the ball into the back of Arsenal’s net.

However, the second half proved to be a different story as goals Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Chuba Akpom put Arsenal 3-1 up.

City managed to make it 3-2 with a header from hot prospect Kelechi Iheanacho.

As always with pre-season, performances have to be taken with a pinch of salt and with a lot of changes still to be made before City’s opener against Sunderland.

However, it is clear that some City players simply are not made for Guardiola’s style of play who could be leaving before the summer transfer window closes.
