According to the Express. Manchester City are closing in on a deal for Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The report says that Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign the striker, but a fee is yet to be agreed. It is, however, thought that City might stump up Dortmund’s huge £58m asking price to land their target.
Atletico Madrid are also still in the race for the forward, after having their first offer rejected by Dortmund. Although, City are believed to be in the driving seat at this point.
Aubameyang wants to leave Dortmund, having scored 39 goals last season for the German side. Manchester City are keen to bring him in to provide major competition for Sergio Aguero.
The report also says that City are finally closing in on the signing of John Stones from Everton. Ronald Koeman’s side are only entertaining offers of over £50m, but City are thought to be close to ironing out a deal.
