Man of the Match against Bayern Munich revealed

Manchester City’s opening game of pre-season ended in a 1-0 loss to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

A clash between two of the managerial heavyweights of football – Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti – was decided by Erdal Ozturk’s deflected effort in the second half.

The introduction of Guardiola’s style of play was abundantly clear City’s first half performance, but the lack of match practice playing in such a way was also dangerously transparent and will need to be addressed in the next couple of matches.

Nevertheless, a number of City players performed exceptionally well for the opening game of the pre-season preparations and fans have been voting on which player they think deserve the Man of the Match award.

The results are announced in the following slideshow.

P.S. Percentages are calculated on the percentage of duels each player has won, so do not expect the number to add up to 100.
