Given: Mancini fell out with everyone at City

Former Manchester City goalkeeper, Shay Given, has said Roberto Mancini would not be the ideal candidate for the England job after his spell at Manchester City.

Mancini is being considered with the likes of Laurent Blanc, Jurgen Klinsmann, Roberto Martinez and Sam Allardyce for the managerial vacancy.

Talking on Alan Brazil’s Breakfast Show on talkSPORT, Given said it would be disastrous after working with Mancini at City.

For me it should be an Englishman but Mancini at Man City was a volatile character.

The Italian was sacked in 2013, a year after leading City to their first Premier League title in 44 years with rumours of unrest between the players and their manager.

Given revealed Mancini had not just fallen out with the players, but, also everyone at the club.

He’d argue with everyone.

Mancini is currently at Inter Milan, where last season, they finished fourth place in Serie A, 24 points behind champions Juventus.
