As confirmed in the Premier League’s retained list, Martin Demichelis will be leaving Manchester City at the end of June.
The news ends his three-year stint at the club – having joined at the same time as departing manager Manuel Pellegrini – and we have decided to reflect on some of his best moments at the club.
104 appearances, four goals, and a lot of good times. After a shaky start to life at the Etihad, Demichelis adapted to English football and became one of City’s most consistent players in 2014/15.
He ended his career with the Sky Blues a yard off of the pace. Nevertheless, Demichelis contributed a lot to the team and deserves credit for a number of his performances.
