Five City youngsters Guardiola can take to the next level

One of the fundamental reasons in Pep Guardiola joining Manchester City is the fact that City are waiting to reap the rewards of the outstanding £200m City Football Academy facility.

City are deadly serious about integrating young players into the first-team and plan to have a strong homegrown presence in the squad in the coming years.

Several players made their first-team bows this season, while a host of City youth sides achieved great success in 2015/16. The U-10’s, U-13’s U15’s and U-18’s all won their respective leagues. Under 18’s Jason Wilcox guided his City side to their second FA Youth Cup final in as many years.

Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak spoke glowingly about the “incredible talent” in the ranks at City and believes that Guardiola will find plenty of gems to work with. But who exactly are those gems?
