Player Ratings: Manchester City 0-0 Dynamo Kiev

Manchester City played out their second 0-0 draw in the space of three days as they failed to break down Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev in a turgid affair at the Etihad.

City were hamstrung quickly, losing both their first-team centre-backs within the space of twenty minutes in the first half. Vincent Kompany looked to have injured his calf after a fairly ominous stretch to get the ball and Nicolas Otamendi also hobbled off after a nasty collision.

The game was hardly inspiring, with little chances being fashioned by either side. The only notable chance fell to Jesus Navas in the second half as he cannoned a shot off the inside of the post.

The game fizzled out into little more after that and City progressed into the last eight of the competition. The draw is at 11am on Friday and City will be hoping to avoid the big guns.
