Tactical optimism ahead of the Capital One Cup final

Cup final weekend is on the horizon, after a three-goal resurgence at the Etihad against Everton in the second-leg, City deservedly earned themselves the chance to fight for the first silverware of the season against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Last time both sides met, City were hammered 4-1 in their own back garden. Now, this, together with City’s recent run of form in the league, may bring some pessimistic views to our fans ahead of the final. However, I’m here to look on the bright side of life and to look at what we learned in the home trouncing in November.

matchday.
