# Ronaldinho: City are favourites for Neymar

Brazil legend Ronaldinho believes that ‘no other club in Europe’ has the ability to sign Barcelona winger Neymar apart from Manchester City.

The 24-year-old revealed his desire to play under Pep Guardiola shortly before it was confirmed that the Bayern Munich boss would join the Sky Blues at the end of the season.

Ronaldinho suspects that the former Santos forward already knew about Guardiola’s future when he said that he would ‘love’ to play under the man who brought him to the Nou Camp.

> Neymar has already stated his desire to play for Pep. That was a big statement with most people knowing that Pep would be joining Manchester City in the summer.

Following reports in the [Daily Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-can-make-145-7318624) that Neymar has a £145m buy-out clause in his contract, Ronaldinho stated that only City had the funds to complete the deal.

> We know they can pay wages that no other club in Europe has the power to do.

The Citizens are the bookmakers favourites to sign Neymar this summer. However, the Ballon d’Or nominee is 1/10 to remain with the Catalan giants.
