Four Findings: Leicester 0-0 City

Manchester City closed out a perplexing 2015 with a goalless draw at mercurial juggernauts Leicester City, in a game that summed up their recent away day blues. Good chances aplenty went begging in a first half dominated by the visitors, before City almost plotted their own downfall once again. Fernandinho giving the ball to Jamie Vardy, only for the Leicester marksman to blaze over from 18 yards.

The second half continued in a similar vein, however the Foxes grew significantly in stature and influence as the game drew to its conclusion. Both Kasper Schmeichel and Joe Hart were forced into action, but neither were to be beaten, as it was the defences who ruled the roost. An all too familiar tale for City in recent weeks, as their winless run on the road extended to six. In the subsequent slides, I’ll take a look at what we learnt and what we can take from last night’s game.

matchday.
