In a day to forget for Manchester City, striker Sergio Aguero reached a personal landmark that seen him overtake ex-teammate Carlos Tevez as Premier League’s highest scoring South American player of all-time.
His 44th minute strike in the 4-1 mauling at the hands of Liverpool saw the Argentinian make it 7 goals in 9 appearances so far this season, and, now on 85 league goals, Sergio is a record-breaker.
1. Sergio Aguero – 85 – Argentina
2. Carlos Tevez – 84 – Argentina
3. Luis Suarez – 69 – Uruguay
4. Gus Poyet – 54 – Uruguay
5. Nolberto Solano – 49 – Peru
From the 85, I have rounded up a top 5 list of Sergio’s best goals in the league.
