# City confident of De Bruyne deal

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is growing increasingly confident of completing the signing of Wolsfburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The German club are open to selling the 24-year-old if City meet their valuation of the Belgian, with Jamie Jackson of *[The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/05/kevin-de-bruyne-manchester-city-wolfsburg)*reporting that sources close to the player believe the fee could be in the region of £45-48 million, though Wolfsburg are refusing to give the exact figure in the hope of extracting the highest fee possible.

De Bruyne is thought to be open to moving to City who are his his first choice, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain. The Belgian would become Pellegrini’s fifth signing of the summer and more than likely his last.

With the departure of Edin Dzeko to Roma on the verge of completion, rumours of a formal offer being lodged for the midfielder have intensified. The interest in the former Chelsea star stems from an impressive 2014 season, as he helped Wolfsburg to finish second in the Bundesliga scoring 10 goals and recording 20 assists along the way.

After failing to make an impression in the Premier League under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, it seems as though he could get a second chance to prove himself in England.
