John McGinn at Aston Villa
Manchester City list Rico Lewis among only two club-trained players on List A alongside Phil Foden. Indeed, the defender operates in a squad featuring fellow Manchester City FC teammates like Rúben Dias and Josko Gvardiol. Meanwhile, managers select him across domestic fixtures where he contests minutes in defence.
Career Before Aston Villa
Academy ranks shaped his early development before senior promotion. Therefore, the fullback progressed directly through the youth system into the first team setup at the Etihad Stadium.
