Man City reportedly send scouts to watch PSG defender Willian Pacho

City have reportedly sent scouts to watch PSG defender Willian Pacho as they consider their future options at centre-back.

City and Arsenal have both compiled detailed scouting reports on the 24-year-old Ecuador international, according to CaughtOffside.

The report says scouts from the two clubs watched Pacho during PSG’s 2-2 draw with Lille, with City said to like his passing and recovery speed. There are no negotiations or offers at this stage.

PSG have just tied Pacho down

Any deal would certainly not be straightforward.

PSG announced on Friday that Pacho had signed a new contract until 2031. He has made 105 appearances since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2024 and has won the Champions League in both of his seasons in Paris.

So January looks unlikely. But City scouting Pacho is worth keeping an eye on, particularly given his age and the fact he is a left-footed centre-back.

The Ecuador international has become a regular under Luis Enrique and PSG clearly have no intention of losing him easily. For now, this is scouting rather than a transfer story. But at least we know City have been watching.
