Iliman Ndiaye is reportedly undergoing his Man City medical as his £65million move from Everton edges towards completion.
City moved quickly to agree a deal for the Senegal international on Monday evening, with Everton set to receive an initial £60m plus a further £5m in potential add-ons.
Personal terms have also been agreed, and Fabrizio Romano reported that Everton had permitted Ndiaye to undergo his medical.
Sky Sports now reports that those medical checks are underway, moving the transfer another step closer to completion.
Ndiaye move enters final stages
There should be relatively little left to resolve if Ndiaye comes through the medical without any problems.
David Ornstein reported on Monday that the deal had reached the paperwork stage after City moved ahead of Tottenham in the race for the 26-year-old.
Ndiaye had been the subject of interest from Spurs, but City returned for him after being unable to prise Cody Gakpo away from Liverpool.
That led to rapid progress between City and Everton, with a £65m package agreed before Deadline Day.
Ndiaye is now in the final stages of becoming the latest addition to Enzo Maresca’s rebuilt squad.
The medical being underway is another significant step, although City have yet to officially announce the transfer.
Barring a late problem, that should now be the next development to look out for.
