Real Madrid interested in Brahim Diaz
Brahim Diaz is one of the most highly-regarded young players at Manchester City.
The promising midfielder has been catching the eye of many in the recent few months, and was especially impressive for City during their pre-season tour of the United States.
Diaz is reportedly admired by City boss Pep Guardiola, who is keen to give him a chance in the first-team at the Etihad Stadium. However, according to the Daily Mail, the Spaniard may very well have a big task on his hands if he wants to retain the youngster’s services.
It’s claimed in the report that reigning Champions League and La Liga champions Real Madrid are poised to move in for the playmaker in January, which is sure to present a tempting opportunity to Diaz.
Guardiola was discussing Diaz’s future at the club, and insisted that he wanted to keep hold of him amid the growing interest in his services.
We want him but today the market is the market. Maybe we can’t control it. We spoke with him many times to stay here.
City gave him the opportunity at the high level. He is happy here. He has to know that at the top level it’s not easy to play.
