The 20-year-old forward had been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium for some time now, and Leicester are the side that have won the race for his signature.
Iheanacho burst onto the scene in the 2015/16 season, flourishing under Manuel Pellegrini in City colours. However since the arrival of Pep Guardiola, and also the signing of Gabriel Jesus, he found first-team opportunities hard to come by.
The Foxes forward made just five starts in the Premier League last season, and came off the bench on 15 occasions.
Although Iheanacho did not have a future at City, it looks as though they have made plans for him if he does progress and develop into the player he has the potential to be.
According to recent reports, the Citizens have included a £50m buy-back clause in the deal.
