Manchester City are edging ever closer to signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker, and Sky Sports are reporting that he will have his medical with City tomorrow.

The England international fell out of favour with Mauricio Pochettino near the end of last season, with Kieran Trippier edging ahead of him in the pecking order.

This led to speculation regarding Walker’s future, and it’s now looking as though he is City-bound.

Pep Guardiola has only Aleksandar Kolarov on the books as a senior full-back, so the addition of Walker is sure to be a boost.

With the enigmatic defender set to pen a deal with City for a fee of around £50m, he will be the world’s most expensive ever defender.
