Man City are close to completing a deal for Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker, according to numerous reports.

The Sky Blues have been chasing the full-back for most of the transfer window, with Spurs reportedly holding out for an oversized fee.

It’s thought that the clubs have now agreed on a figure of around £50m (with add-ons potentially taking the deal higher).

He’s supposedly due in for a medical tomorrow (Friday) and will then head on tour with his new teammates.

At that price, Walker will become the most expensive defender ever – some statement of intent from a Manchester City side that have already done some expensive, early business.

With goalkeeper Ederson and midfielder Bernardo Silva already through the door, Walker is not expected to be the final bit of business Pep Guardiola’s side does this summer.

Other links include Ryan Bertrand of Southampton and Benjamin Mendy of Monaco.
