Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho believes that the Sky Blues are still capable of winning their third Premier League title in five years, despite being considered outsiders by the bookmakers.

City are six points adrift of the league leaders Leicester City after a 3-1 loss to the Foxes as well as a 2-1 defeat at the hands of title rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

However, when speaking to Manchester City TV, Iheanacho said that the squad will come back stronger after the two poor performances.

We will close the gap (between us and front runners). We were very disappointed we lost, no one is happy, but we will come back stronger.

We will put this defeat behind us and keep going for the next games. We will work hard and concentrate on every game.

The Nigerian starlet has broken into the first-team this season after he was granted a work permit and has scored nine times in 20 appearances.

Iheanacho is expected to start in a heavily-rotated side against Chelsea in the FA Cup this weekend and could feature in next week’s Champions League encounter with Dynamo Kiev after he replaced Samir Nasri in 25-man squad for the prestigious tournament.
